Meet The Doctor

Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of New England with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology.  He obtained his Master of Science in Biomedical Science and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degrees from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences.  He finished his Internal Medicine Residency at Corpus Christi Medical Center and is board certified in Internal Medicine.  He lives in Winston Salem with his two dogs, Nugget and Stella.  His hobbies include building terrariums, studying theories of consciousness, and reading about spirituality.  Dr. Johnson actively training at the Eclectic School of Medical Herbalism to become a Clinical Herbalist.  Dr. Johnson is also a grateful recipient of the Functional Medicine for All scholarship from the Institute for Functional Medicine, and is actively training in functional medicine.

Work Experience

2020 - Present

2022 - Present

2017-2020

Medical Director of the Community Care Center of Forsyth County from 2020-2022.  He is still employed there part-time seeing underserved patients, teaching WFBH resident physicians.as well as Nurse Practitioner students.

Medical Director of the Winston Salem State University Behavioral Health & Community Unit.  He is still employed there part-time seeing underserved patients.  

Dr. Johnson trained as the first ever clinical fellow in Regenology (regenerative medicine) at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine under the world-renowned physician Dr. Anthony Atala.  See his paper on Regenology here.
